You’ll always be reflecting the things you’re looking at
It shows up in the clothes you wear; the way you wear your hat
Your associations and the places you go walking
The atmosphere you carry and the words that you like talking.
Every mirror that the world will give always shows that you are failing
You can never match the image in the magazines they’re mailing
When you think you’ve finally made it, they go and change the style
Though constantly you’re striving, you miss the mark a mile
The computer or the phone you brought will always need upgrading
And worse still in the mirror you see your body fading
These mirrors show false images and dictate the way you live
You serve them like they’re god’s and make sacrifice to give
But there’s a Mirror we can use, not some darkened glass
And It shows us clearly perfect, and not an image that will pass
It’s the mirror of the Word where we behold His glory
Where we can see our place in salvation’s story
And we find that we’re conforming to the image we’re beholding
With senses sharpened and minds enlightened, we see the Word unfolding
The other half the ticket, fits into its place
Now one, we find reflecting, an image of God’s face.
His sinless nature expressed the Word of God so much that He and the Word was One. He said so. "I and My Father are One. I do always that what pleases the... I and My Father are just One." He was so perfect in the image of God until He and God was the expressed same thing. He was the flesh, the Son, that expressed the deity of God. So that made Him deity in a man, in order to redeem a man. See? He and the Word was One. "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was God. And the Word was made flesh..." So He and the Word became one, that the Word could express, and could show to the world that Example of what man should be.
And man can't be that in himself. There's no way to educate it to it; there's no way to join it; there's no way to baptize it; there's no way of doing nothing to it, only kill it and let it be borned again, and a new nature come in. That's the only way. Kill that nature of yourself that you might become... And then the Word becomes a living thing. It just expresses itself through you. See? Then you're looking in the looking glass, and the people sees you as a mirror. You know, God has made a way. People won't read the Bible, so God has made you a Bible. You are. What you do, people's looking at you.
