Gangsters can apologize
When they see they got it wrong.
But religion is far worse than that
And in pride keeps holding on.
Religious wars are always worse
Than an unbelievers battle.
They’ll fight you to the death
And your defenses rattle.
Crusading in their righteousness
Manners all forgotten.
Yes just basic manners.
In malice deeds begotten.
To others it’s so obvious,
But still gamely do they fight.
By strong delusion blinded,
They think they’re in the right.
There’s just one thing that you can do,
Is leave it to the Lord.
He’s the mighty One in battle,
And wields a two edged Sword.
He can do an inner work,
Retrieve the one that’s lost.
Make a soft and tender heart,
That once was hard with frost.
