The hall of critics is a must
For famous paintings painted
Our prophet says it’s just the same
For Christians to be sainted
Our imagination softly had it
That we’d hang nicely on the wall
But having spent some time in there
My illusion has to fall
Consider how our Lord was hung
And our brothers too
Do you really think those spirits,
Would make it easier on you?
Critics driving nails hard
Through your hands and feet
Rejection, pain and blood
Not famous painting sweet
Pounding pain into your heart
Thorns pushed in your head
Not content to finish till
Every drop of blood is bled
But here's the part I like
God's watching on to see
How much of His own character
Lives inside of me.
When He can clearly see
His own Life a reflection
He’ll call me “highly favoured”
For I’ve passed with His inspection
Then it’s to the hall of fame
And here will be accepted
And forgotten is the time
When by critics was rejected.
My little old manager, God bless his heart, old Brother Bosworth... laid yonder in Texas, with his back beat into stripes when they threatened to cut his throat and everything else. When he walked with a broken wrist trying to pack his suitcase, beat for preaching the baptism of the Holy Ghost.

And you know, most all famous pictures, before they're hung in a hall of fame, they have to go through the hall of critics first, and have to pass the critics. Then when it passes the critics, then it can be hung in a hall of fame.
Now, I think that's our little church. It's past through ever criticism, been called every black and ugly name. But I think God's going to hang it in the hall of fame one of these mornings and going to take it up, and I want to be with them when they go.
