Why is knowledge scorned*
And revelation cheapened?
When it shows us who we are
And our love for God is deepened.
More important than we realize,
Revelation’s needed*
And from it grows a harvest
Of bounty that was seeded
Wise people know a lot,
But the foolish block their ear*
Have eyes that just can’t see
And ears that just can’t hear
A famine for the Word*
Because to listen they refuse
Instead of eating all the Bread,
Sit back and pick and choose
There’s a blessing in the book*
For those who read and listen
And as the Spirit moves you find,
Your eyes begin to glisten.
Moved beyond expression,
Tears run down your face
As you see the plan of God,
And His amazing grace
This Message is a letter
That many just don’t see
With love between the lines
That was hidden there for me
