It makes no difference what you say it’s called your Christian walk
This produced a Book of Acts, it’s not a Christian talk
You won’t birth a wild child that circumstance induces
For the Tree of Life brings forth, the fruit that God produces
The Fruit of the Spirit* are love joy and peace but that’s not where it ends
Longsuffering, goodness, gentleness and it’s not just to your friends
There’s faith and meekness also and temperance puts a guard
So you don’t mouth off in anger when the situations hard
Submitting to the Word is the meekness God requires
And faith, from circumstance raises us a little higher
Patience with the Lord, is long suffering as we know
But what about with God in flesh will that same longsuffering show.
If the righteous scarce be saved and this the acid test
Search yourself with fear and trembling* so that in God’s grace you’ll rest
Our rest is in the Holy Ghost* there is no other way
This rest will show in how you act not just the things you say
