The Bible’s very clear about, the way church should be run.
Look in the book of Acts, when the church begun.
There’s clear teaching by St Paul, which we see reiterated,
By our prophet in the Message: this never was negated.
But now we see a strange thing, with virtual reality,
And imaginations come alive with technology.
So now there is a virtual church, and also God’s on line.
We can all be virtual Christians: no heart and strength and spine.
It's just one more example, of a church that's been hybrid,
Where convenience now is at its best and sin is easily hid.
There’s no need that love be exercised, for there’s no one irritating.
And there’s no need to overcome, so attitudes keep escalating.
Though they claim their pastors down the line, pay their tithes with on line banking,
A woman usually runs the show; it’s her they should be thanking.
She’ll be the one who calls the shots though she’ll hide behind a man,
And though it seems that he’s the boss, this was really all her plan.
There’s a church just down the road that preaches just the same,
But in a living body you can’t play this game.
In a living church, the Word will bring correction,
But in a virtual church, sin hides without detection.
Their pastor wouldn’t tolerate if he really knew,
The way they live their lives and the things they do.
They’d also stumble on his faults, and leave his church as well
But with a virtual church, it’s these things you can’t tell.
The thing that really breaks my heart, is that the children rarely make it.
Adults play religious games but children just can’t fake it.
If one Word ignored could cause the fall, then many cause disaster.
Don’t take a modern substitute and an on line plaster.
