There’s a price to pay for all the things,
We do we know aren’t right.
For not one of these is hidden,
In the darkness of the night.
There’s a steadfast law of God’s we find,
Of sowing then of reaping.
It helps to wash us clean,
So the Word we’re happy keeping.
There’s one thing some have overlooked,
It may not be them who pay.
For constrained by love someone will suffer,
As they were led to pray.
Who knows the very depths of pain,
Some one standing in your place,
Has suffered so your way is smoothed,
Because you turned away God’s grace.
How long must others suffer,
While your heart you keep on hardening.
It’s in your power to give release,
As you accept God’s gracious pardoning.
The mind can never comprehend,
The love that God is giving.
And sometimes He does it through the saints,
By the sacrifice they’re living.
Samson was willing to pay the price to get the power of God back in his life again. I wonder if the church is, this afternoon, willing to pay the price and die with the enemy, the thing, all your popularity, and all your this, that, or the other, just to see the power of God back on you again, and become a prisoner of Jesus Christ?
