MAY WE BE SO MELTED

Give us sweetness of our spirits

Take all our bitterness away

And the indifference making us so numb

And the religious games we play.

May we be so melted

By the Holy Spirits moving

So soft and tender to the Word

To respond to His behooving.

ME

Though young in mind and “want to”

my body shows some years

Some lines that don’t rule straight no more

and a few gray hairs

I’ve not achieved great accolades

or intellectual height

But there’s one thing that I’m confident,

my life has been lived right.

Even as a girl I know,

I did the best I could

To live a life for Christ,

the way a Christian should

My focus hasn’t changed,

and my love for God has grown

And in spite of all my faults,

in my life this has been shown.

My aim in life is heaven,

and I’ll take my family too

And it would be an honour just to help,

somebody make it through

After that there’s not much else,

it’ll all come to an end

Down here I make investments,

so in heaven I can spend.
