What is the new Birth then?... It is the revelation of Jesus Christ personally to you… Not you joined a church, you shook a hand… you promised to live by a code of rules. But Christ, the Bible, He is the Word that was revealed to you. And no matter what anybody says, what takes place… It's Christ in you. That is the revelation that the Church was built upon.

FOR THE DEAD IN CHRIST THERE'S PEACE

I want to be more humble, whatever it should take.
My pride completely shattered, I want to see it break.
I’m desperate, I don’t care, what methods God should use.
I want to see results, how He does it, God can choose.

I want to rest, relax, in the presence of the Light.
Trusting in His will, for my way was never right.
No competing voices, no ambitions of my own
No pressure from another; just me and God alone.

What a horrible thing to gain in years, just to be another fool
God let me completely die so You completely rule
I’ve seen the proud so lifted up, yet only they don’t know,
All others see it clearly; through the years they watch it grow.

When provoked it just wont matter, I’ll let it just pass by
For the dead in Christ there’s peace, there’s no reaction once you die
Let me bury this old girl, I’ll sing no songs of mourning
But rest easy in Your grace, with Your humility adorning.

... the very first step to successful Christianity, and to show that man has received the Holy Spirit, is humility, real God-given humility, that It must be given humbly. But, yet, a church without a doctrine is just like a jellyfish; it has no backbone. So, we've got to have backbone in it. And not also backbone, but teeth also, because the Church of God must eat the Bread of Life.

ELECTION WILL HOLD

Though loved ones may stray
Election will hold
Though they stumble in sin
And stray from the fold

God gave me this burden,
It wasn’t in vain,
Though watching them sin
Gives heartache and pain

Election will hold,
And His sheep hear His voice,
Though for now it just seems
That sin’s their first choice.

Not one will be lost,
He’ll turn every stone.
There’ll be great success
In the search for His own.

This is my comfort,
And this is my strength,
To know that He’ll search
For His own to great length.

Though it seem there’s no hope,
There’ll be a returning,
To the arms of the Saviour,
Safe from hell’s burning.

With rejoicing the sheep,
Will return to the fold.
It’s an unmovable promise,
For election will hold.
Gifts and callings are without repentance. You absolutely receive them when you're borned in this world. The Bible says that. How many believes in predestination, foreordination, election, calling, so forth? If you believe the Bible, you have to.
... Jesus Christ was the Son of God from the very foundation of the world. He was a Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. You believe that? He was the woman's Seed that was to the bruise the serpents head. You believe that? Then He was predestinated, foreordained of God. Do you believe that?
When Moses was born, he was a proper child, and was borned a prophet. You believe that? Nothing nobody had to do with it. God made him a prophet before he was born to fulfill Abraham's prophecy.
How many believes that... Why, John the Baptist seven hundred and twelve years before he was ever born, Isaiah saw him. Said, "He is the voice of one crying in the wilderness." You believe that?
Look at this.
When Jeremiah... The 1st chapter of Jeremiah, 4th verse, I believe it is, God said: "Before you was even formed in your mothers belly, I knew you, and called you, and sanctified you, and ordained you a prophet over the nations," before he was ever borned. You believe in predestination, foreordination? We could go right on down through the Scripture. Yes, sir. It's altogether by grace. It's not by desire; it's by grace.
God called Abraham out of that whole world of people. Why? 'Cause Abraham was better? No, sir. It's grace. God's chosen, election, and call. You are what you are because the grace of God has made you what you are. Who taking thought can add one cubit to his statue? Is that right? It's by grace. These things are called. God has set in

YOU'D LAY YOUR LIFE DOWN

Heavy heart and weeping tears
Minds unsettled thought
Burdened with another’s sin
When you know they’re falling short

You long to embrace and love them
And let them know you care
Say “sister there’s a better way”
God’s love and comfort share

Let them know that in the valley
You’ll hold on through thick and thin
That you’ll help pick up the pieces
When they pay their price for sin.

You’d lay your life down if you could
But it seems that on my knees
I pay the only price I can
As they go through stormy seas

I pray God sends a lifeboat
Lest the tempest all consuming
Drowns them in their own folly
Because of their presuming

WE BICKER OVER NOTHING

What narrow focused lives we live
With petty issues troubling
So on our selves take pity
Then we see the issues doubling
While our sisters backs are beaten
And brothers homes are burning
We bicker over nothing
Pick and choose who we are spurning

Our problems are illusions
They’re just troubles in the mind
They’re not real, though they’re entertained
They’d go if we declined
Look around, a wider view
Will give your problems a dilution
Then spend more time in prayer for those
Who really suffer persecution

FEAR GOD

Fearing God we’re taught, is wisdom’s starting place
And until you start to fear Him there’s no starting in the race
For a Holy God in justice with righteous indignation
Will require answers from you and for sin an explanation

All the pride that bolstered sin and demons entertaining
Will abandon you upon that day, leave you with the explaining
With all your filth more filthy still, and exposed before all men
You’ll wished you’d feared God now for you’ll certainly fear Him then

You’ve had answers and know the way that God from sin provided
He’s entreated softly to your heart, He’s provoked and pushed and chided
But stubbornly you carry on, enjoy the pleasures of your faults
And try to say you’re having fun, in spite of sin’s results

Like a child you play a game but this one plays for keeps
And while you sowed for Satan you’ll be the one who reaps
More tender love you’ll never know than God freely gave to all
But more frightening wrath you’ll never see if on His grace you didn’t fall

Over in Ecclesiastes the 12th chapter and the 13th verse, it's written like this. See? "Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep His commandments, for this is the full duty of man."
The conclusion of the whole matter is to fear God. And when, you cannot have respects until you have fear. You've got to have fear of God. Solomon said also in the Proverbs that the fear of God is the beginning of wisdom: the fear of God is the beginning of wisdom.
Now, that don't mean that you're afraid of Him, but that means that you're giving respects and reverence. And when you respect God, you fear God. You fear that you might displease Him in some way; you fear lest you would do something wrong.

I'LL TRUST YOUR EVERY LEADING

I’ll serve You Lord in any way
I’ll trust Your every leading,
I’ll stand up tall and walk your will
Not fall down begging, pleading

Through the fire, through the flood
I know You’ll guide and keep
Though danger come You’ll lead me through
As a Shepherd guides his sheep

What tender hand with sweet caress
Your comfort I can feel
And when completely broken down
Your love is there to heal.

Through my life there’s never been a time
That this trust has been betrayed
Though to help to teach me patience
The reason’s been delayed

And when trials just get greater
My trust increases too
For I know that You’ll provide the grace
To help to get me through

THANK YOU FOR THIS TRIAL LORD

Thank You for this trial Lord
It’s really what I needed.
I can say it’s brought out character
That the Holy Ghost had seeded.

In this deep and shadowed valley
I found Your shining Light.
To lead me on this rugged path
And see me through the night.

I found that all the problems
That came from every side,
Had no affect up on my heart
And the Life I had inside.

But rather it just chipped away,
At the weakness of my mind.
And helped me drop and leave some faults,
So very far behind.

God doesn't promise a flower bed of Eden. Don't falsify a Christian, and don't falsify the message by telling that everything's going to be all right, there nothing going to harm you, there's nothing going--ain't no trials or nothing. That's wrong. As a poet said, "Must I be carried home to heaven on a flower bed of ease, while others fought to win the prize and sailed through bloody seas?" No, sir. God doesn't promise ease and prosperity. But He promises grace to endure in every trial. It's the grace that we look to.
